Abstract
This chapter introduces several debates in environmental ethics with respect to fossil fuels: whether offsetting emissions is morally required and practically possible; what role forms of local resistance can take, especially divestment and pipeline protesting; and how trade in natural goods on international markets could be priced or curtailed.
